Some 25 fun runners and walkers crossed the finish line at the third annual Perry Lutheran Homes Run Through Time Saturday morning.
The event was part of the Perry Lutheran Homes’ celebration of 65 years of serving elderly residents in Perry and surrounding communities.
The two-hour celebration featured live music by Steve and Sean Parnell, food from the Hotsy Totsy food truck lots of fun and games for the youngsters. Snap Fitness and Acorns and Oaks Intergenerational Christian Daycare were on hand to leads the activities.
The 5K fun run started and ended at the Perry Lutheran Homes Eden Acres Campus at 1300 28th St. The route was wired for vintage music from the 1940s to the 2020s through a collaboration of the Perry Lutheran Homes and the Raccoon Valley Radio, made possible by a generous donation from Osmundson Manufacturing.
