Third-ranked Panthers ground visiting Chargers

PANORA — The rolling force that is the Panorama girls basketball team steamed forward again Friday, with visiting AC/GC the latest victim. The Panthers led all the way in posting a 67-29 victory, lifting their overall record to 16-1 and their WCAC mark to 12-0.

AC/GC (2-15, 2-10) was immediately in trouble, falling into a 16-6 hole after one quarter of play and facing a 41-14 deficit at the intermission. The hosts expanded their lead to 34 points by entering the fourth frame holding a 59-25 lead and easily traipsed to the win from there.

Bailey Beckman poured in 23 points and Devyn Kemble 19 for the Panthers, with Morgan Johnk and Hope Wilderman each adding seven points. Five points from Brooke Halterman, four from Kellie Prince and two from Anna Holloway wrapped the scoring list.

Johnk had nine rebounds and two blocks, with Kemble making three steals and blocking two shots. Prince had three boards, three assists and three steals, with Beckman making off with six thefts while Halterman cleared five caroms.

Jadeyn Carrick had 18 of the 29 points for AC/GC.

Panorama visits Madrid Tuesday and will play at Van Meter Friday.
