Three candidates have filed nomination papers for three offices in the Perry city government.
Incumbent Mayor Andorf will seek a third term as mayor, and incumbent at-large Perry City Council member Vicki Klein will seek a second term on the five-member body.
Newcomer Brenda Espinoza of Perry will seek election to the second-ward seat on the Perry City Council. Espinoza graduated from DMACC in 2017 with a degree in business administration. She currently manages the Newbury Living properties in Perry.
Numerous candidates filed nomination papers in other city contests around Dallas County. In the following list, an asterisk before a candidate’s name indicates the candidate is an incumbent.

Candidates have until Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. to withdraw from the race or to file written objections challenging to the nomination papers or eligibility of another candidate. Written objections must be filed with the Dallas County Auditor’s office.
City government seats are nonpartisan offices. Write-in campaigns are also potential factors in the contests.
