One ADM High School student, one De Soto Intermediate School students, one ADM High School staff member, One ADM Middle School staff member and one non-building-assigned ADM staff member were identified this week as testing positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, according to communications from ADM Superintendent Greg Dufoe.

Five close contacts of the ADM High School student, including one person exposed onsite at an ADM school or school function and four people exposed off-site, were identified and will quarantine for 14 days, Dufoe said.

He said zero close contacts were identified for the other student and three staff members.

The ADM Community School District had about 1,900 students enrolled in 2019, with about 500 in the high school. The district’s Return to Learn Plan calls for 100% attendance and features many virus-mitigation tactics, such as context-appropriate face coverings for students in grades three through 12.
