It was not “Happy Days” in Perry Monday afternoon when a 64-year-old Ford car was one of three vehicles involved in a collision at the intersection of Iowa Highway 141 and Iowa Highway 144.

No injuries were reported in the mishap, which occurred shortly before 2 p.m.

What experts said was a 1957 Ford Fairlane Skyliner sustained front-end damage in the accident and came to rest pointing southward on County Road P58 just south of the bypass.

The other two vehicles, a passenger car and an SUV, came to rest in the median of Iowa Highway 141 on the west side of Iowa Highway 144. The car appeared to sustain significant passenger-side damage. The condition of the SUV was not immediately apparent.

The accident is under investigation at this hour.

The Perry Police Department, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded to the crash.
