The National Weather Service (NWS) in Des Moines has predicted isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and early evening for the Perry area.
The main risks are damaging thunderstorm winds and large hail, the NWS said.
Along with Dallas County, the Iowa counties with a likelihood of thunderstorms include Emmet, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Humboldt, Calhoun, Webster, Carroll, Greene, Boone, Audubon, Guthrie, Polk, Cass, Adair, Madison, Warren, Marion, Adams, Union, Clarke, Lucas, Monroe, Taylor, Ringgold, Decatur, Wayne and Appanoose.
