ADM scored twice in each half to record a 4-0 win over Perry in Raccoon River Conference soccer on Dewey Field Tuesday.
The win lifted the Tigers to 9-3 overall and 5-0 in conference play while the Jayettes slipped to 4-9, 1-5.

Defensive miscues allowed both of ADM’s scores in the first half, with the Tigers forcing the pace and finding the back of the goal twice more after intermission.

The visitors allowed only four shots on goal. Interestingly, four was also the unusually high number of yellow cards issued to the Tigers, as three ADM players and their head coach were all issued official warnings in the contest, with one ADM ejected from the premises.
On a brighter note, Perry welcomed back a player they have missed this season: Glenda Cruz, who had four goals and an assist last season and whose physical presence is certain to alter the playing style of the Jayettes.
“Tonight we had Glenda back and it was fun to watch her play for us as our center defenseman and than as a forward,” assistant coach Fred Niebaum said. “Even though we were not able to get her the ball much up top she was still able to get a great shot on goal from an excellent ball from Grace Marburger.
“Glenda’s ability to change the field with one kick is going to really help our team become more of a counter-attack team with her in the back,” he added. “If we are able to move the ball through the middle then Glenda will be scoring goals quite a bit for us when playing as a forward.”
Perry returns to action Thursday with a trip to Carroll, with the team playing in a tourney at Newton Saturday, in what will be the third trip of the season to H.A. Linn Field for the Jayettes.
