ADEL, Iowa — Perry had a bounce-back season end Saturday with a 66-24 loss to host ADM in a girls Class 4A Region 7 Semifinal.

The win moved ADM (11-12) into a Tuesday Regional Final at host and top-ranked DC-G (19-3), who dispatched Boone (4-19) Saturday.

Perry (9-14) dropped into a huge hole from the beginning as ADM scored the first 16 points of the game for a 16-3 lead after eight minutes. At the half the margin stood at 37-13, with 12 points from Lydia Olejniczak and a Callie Steva free throw accounting for the Jayette points.

The Tigers held a 52-22 advantage after the end of three quarters and continued to widen the gap down the stretch. ADM had defeated Perry, 59-40, earlier this season.

Olejniczak sank three 3-pointers for Perry en route to 19 points. She finishes the season with 474 points scored and ends her junior year at 989 career points.

Steva, a sophomore, had three points, with freshman Litzy Ramirez adding two points.

Perry was without injured started Jayna Kenney, the only senior on the team. Ojejniczak and Kathryn West were the only two other upperclassmen this year.

Olivia Tollari had 17 points, Nicole Storck 14 and Kelli Storck and Cameran Smith 10 points apiece to pace the Tigers. Tollari had seven steals and four assists to lead the hosts.

Perry finished 9-14 overall, their most wins since a 16-victory 2016-17 season. They were 4-10 in HOIAC play in their first year in the league.

The Jayettes were coached by first-year head coach Claire Marburger, who was assisted by Kenzi Sutton.
