Timberwolves take down visiting Panthers

CORNING, IOWA — Southwest Valley bested Panorama, 3-0, in their Class 2A Region 4 Quarterfinal Wednesday, ending the season for the visiting Panthers.

Panorama (7-21) fell on scores of 25-13, 25-20 and 25-12 while the win lifted SW Valley (17-23) into a R4 Semifinal Monday against AC/GC.

Jaidyn Sellers had six kills for the Panthers, with Tyme Boettcher and Grace Webner having four apiece and Jasmarie Flanery two. Mollie Monthei had 12 assists for the guests.

Jazmyn Sellers led the defense with 12 digs, with Jaidyn Sellers and Webner posting seven each. Boettcher had six digs, Monthei four, Carley VanGundy three and Flanery two.

Panorama had four ace serves and was 36-of-44 (82 percent) behind the serving line.

Webner was 8-10-2, Flanery 8-8-1 and Boettcher 4-5-1. Monthei finished 7-of-9 and Jazmyn Sellers 5-of-6 while Jaidyn Sellers was 4-of-6.

Flanery, Monthei, VanGundy, Webner, Andrea Hammer and Angel Poldberg were seniors this season for Panorama.
