Timothy Stephen Kirk of Indianola and formerly of Panora passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at the age of 34.

Tim was born Aug. 18, 1986, and grew up in Panora, Iowa. He spent his youth cruising the streets on his skateboard, drinking Kool-Aid and just living life.

With a smile as bright as the sun, heart as big as the moon, he was best known for his playful spirit and infectious laughter. If there could be a career of reminiscing, then his crew would never run out of stories.

Tim attended Grace Baptist Church in Des Moines, where he was united in marriage with Bridgett Nichole Kirk. When he built his family, he focused wholeheartedly on them. Tim and Bridgett were blessed with two beautiful children, Lilly Mae and Carter Lee.

He enjoyed being part of Grace Baptist Church, the fellowship and the people.

Tim was dedicated to his career as a business analyst supervisor at Allied Global USA, where he served for 10 years.

He was happiest when he was listening to music, skateboarding, camping, fishing, racing, attempting to play the guitar, spending time with people — loving everyone.

Tim most loved his family: his mom, Bridgett, his children, Audrey the dog he never wanted and all of the friends that become family along the way.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Lee Brooks.

Tim is survived by his wife, Bridgett Nichole Kirk; daughter, Lilly Mae Kirk; son, Carter Lee Kirk; mother, Lisa Brooks; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jeff Wood and Missy Wood; brothers, J. D. Brittain, Hyson Blitz, Kyle Riley, Tommy Gaylord, Jeremey Riggen, Dustin Woody, Nate Lowe, Simon McAllister, Jonathan Dickman and Travis Hoffpauir; and a list of cherished friends so long that it could reach him in Heaven.

Tim will be deeply missed and always remembered. His loved ones send heartfelt thanks for your prayers. Please keep them coming.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25 at the Twigg Funeral Home, 219 E. Main St. in Panora, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Richland Township Cemetery near Bagley, Iowa. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held following interment at the Yale Community Building, located on Main Street in Yale.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to Tim’s GoFundMe page or donate to a charity of your choice in Tim’s honor.
