Graveside military honors for Tom Woods, 70, of Perry will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive in Adel.
Tom passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, in Perry, Iowa.
Thomas William Woods was born May 2, 1948, in Blockton, Iowa, the son of Glen L. and Vildren V. (Perkins) Woods.
He graduated from East Greene High School with the class of 1966.
He entered the U.S. Navy Oct. 18, 1966, and was honorably discharged from active duty Oct. 4, 1968.
Tom has been a Perry resident for the past 50 years. He worked as a millwright union member in Des Moines until his retirement.
Survivors include his sister, Janice (Merle) Anderson of Zearing, Iowa; one brother, Glen (Janis) Woods Jr. of Oskaloosa; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
Preceding Tom in death were his parents; and one sister, Joyce Smotherman.
