Thomas Daniel “Tommy” Routh, 30, of Perry died Thursday, May 29, 2025.
A visitation will be held Monday, June 9 from 3-6 p.m. at the Iles Dunn’s Funeral Home at 2121 Grand Ave., Des Moines, Iowa 50312. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 10 at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home, and burial will follow at the Cory Grove Cemetery in Elkhart, Iowa. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held at Saturday, June 14 at 2 p.m. at the Roadhouse, also known as the Dexter Community Center, at 707 Dallas St., Dexter, Iowa 50070. This is a potluck event, and gluten-free options are appreciated. A bonfire will be held that night at his parents’ house, Tim and Shelia’s in Dexter.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Makayla Meier-Routh of Perry; father, Timothy (Sheila) Routh Sr. of Dexter; mother, Melinda (Jeff Thatcher) Ferrell of Maryville, Tennessee; brother, Timothy (Julia) Routh Jr. of Des Moines; sister, Makayla Ferrel of Maryville, Tennessee; grandma, Barb Johnson of Dexter; grandpa, Tom Cassidy of Tennessee; step-brother, Justin Weaver of Pleasant Hill; step-sister, Crystal McLaren of Des Moines; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
