Perry guard Alyssa Kruger finds herself in a tight spot after collecting a loose ball Friday. Boone's Rylee Claman (22) and Claire Sandvig (40) squeeze in on the play, with Taylor Lathrum (52) and Maddy West (32) also on the floor for the hosts.

Visiting Boone completed a season-sweep of Perry with a 47-21 victory in Raccoon River Conference girls cage play Friday. The win follows a 60-30 Toreador win Jan. 15 and lifted 14th-ranked Boone to 17-4 overall and 12-2 in the conference.

Perry (8-13, 4-10) struggled again offensively. The Jayettes were without the services of starter Emma Olejniczak for most of the game and lost Grace Marburger for the entire second half due to a hand or wrist injury. Perry won three of their first four games after the winter break, but has since lost seven-of-eight, including four straight.

The Jayettes found themselves in a 12-2 hole after eight minutes, with a 20-8 Toreador run in the second quarter giving the guests a 32-10 bulge at the half.

Senior Taylor Lathrum scored six of the final eight points in the third quarter for Perry, but it did little to effect the outcome, as Perry trailed, 41-16, entering the final frame.

Madlyn Danner paced Boone with 17 points, with Claire Sandvig adding 10. Caitlynne Shadle and Dianna Slight provided seven points apiece, with Laura Anderson contributing six.

Lathrum had eight points to lead Perry, with Mariah Duffy adding four points and Olejniczak three. Two points apiece from Victoria Hegstrom, Alyssa Kruger and Marburger capped the Perry scoring.

Jayette seniors Duffy, Hegstrom, Lathrum and Haileigh Kenyon were honored between games for their efforts with the team, as all were making their final regular season home appearance.

Perry will play once more at home, as they open the post season by hosting Carroll at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will travel to Boone for a 7 p.m. game Feb. 20.
