The Trestle Inn at 306 S. Main St. in Woodward opened its doors Sunday as part of the annual Christmas Tour of Homes, and the recently restored 95-year-old house twinkled as the town’s spacious, new bed-and-breakfast destination.

The house is available for overnight stays as well as private parties of all kinds, said Sandy Grubbs of Woodward, who bought the house in partnership with her daughter, Andi Dalton of Perry, and spent more than a year bringing it to its present stately state.

“We’re pretty well booked through the holidays and into next January,” Grubbs said Sunday, while visitors on the Christmas Tour came and went, admiring the restorations and partaking of the custom cupcakes. “We’re listed on Airbnb, and that’s brought a lot of interest.”

Situated about three blocks from the trailhead of the popular High Trestle Trail, the house boasts a newly remodeled kitchen, plus on-site parking and wireless internet access.

“We decided to try a new adventure and share our home,” Grubbs said. “We live in a great location for bike trails, and we are 20 to 30 minutes from hiking, fishing, shopping and wineries.”

Sharing the fun Sunday night with Grubbs were her daughter, Andi, her granddaughter, Chloe Dalton, and her good friend, Barb Hutt.
