Noah M. Regalado, 21, of West Valley, Utah, was arrested for domestic abuse assault.

A Nevada truck driver and his Utah passenger saw their dispute issue in an arrest for assault Sunday morning on Adel’s north side.

Noah M. Regalado, 21, of 3272 W. 3800 S., West Valley, Utah, was arrested for first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

The incident began about 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the 28000 block of K Avenue in Adel, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a disturbance.

According to court records, Regalado, a passenger in a semi-tractor trailer, allegedly caused “bodily injuries” to the “forehead and right hand” of the victim, a Nevada man and the driver of the semi-tractor trailer, in the course of a dispute.

Regalado allegedly became angry after he “demanded” that the victim “drive back to Salt Lake City, Utah,” but the victim “refused” and “asked” Regalado “to get out of the semi,” according to court records.

Regalado allegedly responded “by punching” the victim, according to court records.

The victim “then threw out” Regalado’s “belongings on the side of the road, hoping it would get” Regalado “out of the truck,” but Regalado allegedly “still refused to exit the semi and assaulted” the victim “again by punching him in the face,” according to court records.

Regalado is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 27 in Dallas County District Court.
