Perry Community School District Superintendent Clark Wicks announced Monday that one Perry High School student tested positive for COVID-19 Monday, Nov. 2.
All students and families in contact with this student have been notified, Wicks said, and 24 students will be quarantined for 14 days in conformity with direction from Dallas County Public Health.
Wicks said that wearing masks prevented an additional eight students being quarantined, and all other students can attend classes as normal.
In 2019 the Perry Community School District had an enrollment of 1,676 in three buildings.
