Come and get it!
The public is invited to take part Wednesday at 2 p.m. in a drive-through giveaway of 40,000 pounds of chicken at the Crossroads Church in Perry.
A generous donation by Tyson Fresh Meats of the truckload of chicken to the Perry Food Pantry makes the giveaway possible, and people from the Perry area will be the beneficiaries of the nearly 7,000 chickens.
The event is drive-through only due to virus-related restrictions.
Chicken pickers are asked to be courteous and patient with the volunteers and to arrive no earlier than 1 p.m. at the parking lot of the Crossroads Church at 2810 First Ave. in Perry.
