Two injured in collision on Iowa Highway 141 Monday

A Honda left the roadway of Iowa Highway 141 and came to rest in a field near the Mid-Iowa Family Therapy Clinic Monday about 6 p.m.

One vehicle came to rest in a farm field and a second along Iowa Highway 141 Monday evening.

One person was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines and a second to the Dallas County Hospital Monday evening after a motor vehicle collision shortly before 6 p.m. on Iowa Highway 141.

At least two vehicles were involved in the incident, which occurred near the entrance to the Mid-Iowa Family Therapy Clinic at 20244 141st St. in Perry.

One of the vehicles, a 2002 Honda Accord, left the roadway of Iowa Highway 141 and came to rest in a farm field near the therapy center. The Honda, driven by Carolina Gonzalez-Cruz of 1817 Second St. in Perry, appeared to sustain front-end damage.

A second vehicle, a 2009 Kia Optima, appeared to sustain damage to the rear bumper and quarter panel. The second vehicle was driven by Luann Kay Grove of 805 Warrent St. in De Soto.

The circumstances of the mishap are under investigation.

The Perry Police Department responded to the incident. The department has released no information about the victims.

The Dallas County EMS also responded.
