Law enforcement radio traffic indicated two officers were down in an officer-involved shooting in Stuart about 10:45 p.m. Thursday.
At least two suspects are reportedly barricaded in an apartment at the Summit Street Apartments at 52 S.W. Seventh St. in Stuart. At least one of the suspects is armed, and one is reportedly injured.
Law enforcement is securing a perimeter around the scene, and a SWAT team is being assembled, according to radio traffic.
Law enforcement officers from Panora and Adair, Cass and Dallas counties are responding and possibly from other area agencies, according to radio traffic.
Air ambulances are staging nearby in Stuart.
