Perry Community School District Superintendent Clark Wicks has announced that one Perry High School student and one Perry Middle School student tested positive Wednesday for SARS-CoV-2, the virus causes COVID-19.
In addition, seven close contacts of the students were placed in quarantine, Wicks said. He said that all students and families in contact with the students have been notified, and all other students can attend classes as normal.
The SARS-CoV-2 virus has infected 58 students and 19 staff members since classes began Aug. 19 in the PCSD, according to communications from the PCSD. The list of cases follows.
