DENISON, Iowa — Mackenzie Godden of Denison, the child missing since Friday evening, was found safe at about 4 p.m. Saturday, according to a spokesperson from the Iowa Department of Public Safety.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the child’s absence, the spokesperson said.
“The DCI and all participating law enforcement agencies would like to thank the media, community of Denison and volunteers for their assistance and support during the search for Mackenzie,” she said.
