A vehicle came to rest about 50 feet off the roadway early Thursday after missing the turn at W. Third and Rawson streets in Perry.

Perry Police Department officers are seeking the driver and one passenger of a vehicle that left the roadway early Thursday and struck a trailer near 819 Rawson St. during heavy rains.

The vehicle, a silver 2005 Toyota Scion, was traveling southbound on W. Third Street, which ends at Rawson Street, when it apparently missed the turn and continued south over a lawn for about 50 feet before striking the parked trailer.

The caller reporting the incident said two occupants were in the vehicle and also said “the driver was not responsive,” according to a Perry Police Department report.

The incident was reported shortly before 3 a.m. Thursday and remains under investigation, according to police.
