A Grimes man was arrested on a charge of OWI after rolling his pickup truck at midnight Friday on Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal near 160th Street.
According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office, David Wambold, 35, 801 S.E. 13th St., Grimes, was traveling in the 16000 block of Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal when his vehicle left the roadway and entered the median, coming to rest upside down in the roadway.
Wambold was transported by Dallas County EMS to Mercy West Lakes.
He was also issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
The Granger Police Department, Woodward Police Department, Woodward First Responders, Woodward Volunteer Fire Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Dallas County EMS and Iowa State Patrol responded to the incident, which briefly reduced westbound traffic to one lane on the state highway.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
