An Indiana man was injured about 2:15 p.m. Sunday when his motorcycle left the roadway of Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal between Woodward and Granger.

Excessive speed was believed to be a factor in the Sunday afternoon motorcycle crash on Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal between Woodward and Granger.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Jonathon Groscost of Terre Haute, Indiana, was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed in the 15000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when he lost control, and his motorcycle left the roadway and entered the ditch.

Groscost was transported to MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines by the Dallas County EMS.

Damage to the motorcycle was estimated at $30,000 by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Woodward First Responders and Woodward Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded.
