Two victims were transported with injuries Saturday night from the scene of a two-vehicle collision at Iowa Highway 44 and W Avenue (Alice’s Road), according to a witness at the scene of the incident.
The collision occurred about 7:45 p.m. at the intersection in rural Dallas County west of Grimes, where right-turn lanes were recently constructed.
The collision involved a passenger car and a pickup truck, according to the witness. The car sustained significant front-end damage. The condition of the truck is unknown.
Law enforcement temporarily reduced traffic to one lane on the state highway while emergency responders worked at the scene.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office has not released any information about the incident.
