Electrical power was restored to nearly 500 Alliant Energy customers in Perry about 8:40 a.m. Sunday.
The 10-hour power loss affected energy customers such as the Dallas County Hospital, the Perry Lutheran Homes and the Kading Properties in east Perry.
Power was lost Saturday about 10:20 p.m. during the blizzard conditions in Perry.
A sincere thank you to Alliant Energy workers for restoring electricity for much of the city of Perry. It’s highly dangerous, freezing cold work, and we appreciate their expertise in getting us back online. You truly don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.
