Dime- to penny-sized hail and winds to 40 mph are possible in the Perry area Thursday midday, according to the National Weather Service office in Des Moines.
At 11:59 a.m., a strong thunderstorm near Perry was identified, moving east at 25 mph.
Cities potentially impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Perry, Woodward, Minburn, Rippey, Dawson, Bouton, Berkley, the Perry Municipal Airport and Ledges State Park.
