DES MOINES, Iowa — A 7-year-old child and the stolen vehicle the child was sleeping in were located by law enforcement about 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The child is safe and back with his parents, according to police.
The vehicle was reported stolen about 8:30 p.m. from the parking lot of the Family Dollar store at E. 14th Street and Euclid Avenue.
An investigation into the theft is ongoing, police said.
