According to a report from the Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Morgan Terry of Ankeny was traveling eastbound on Iowa Highway 141 at Quinlan Avenue when a vehicle, driven by Darlene Onken of Carroll, pulled out from the stop sign in front of Terry’s vehicle, which struck Onken’s vehicle broadside.
Terry was transported by personal vehicle to Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, and Onken and a passenger in Onken’s vehicle were transported to Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County EMS.
Damage to Terry’s vehicle was estimated at $6,000, and damage to Onken’s vehicle was estimated at $8,000. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Eastbound traffic on Iowa Highway 141 was temporarily redirected southward on Quinlan Avenue until the scene was cleared.
The Perry Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Woodward First Responders, Woodward Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded to the incident.
