U.S. Highway 169 is now open between U.S. Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 30.
Flood waters that closed the highway at the Raccoon River Bridge in Adel have receded, a Dallas County Sheriff’s office spokesperson said Sunday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service office in Des Moines, the Raccoon River levels near Perry peaked at 17.86 feet Friday, Oct. 12 and were expected to fall below the 15-foot flood stage by Sunday afternoon.
