An Urbandale man was arrested on a warrant for harassment Tuesday after commenting on a Facebook post by a Waukee woman he was told to steer clear of by police.
Nelson Nicholas Itani, 21, of 3816 106th St., Urbandale, was charged with third-degree harassment.
According to court records, Itani was advised June 10 by officers of the Waukee Police Department “to have no further communication with” the victim.
“After being told to not communicate, Itani commented on a Facebook post that” the victim posted.
A warrant for Itani’s arrest was ordered June 15 in Dallas County District Court and served June 29. Itani is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
