
An Urbandale security guard was arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting a customer of the club.
Tyler Allen White, 31, of 7005 Roseland Dr., Urbandale, was charged with willful injury causing serious injury.
The incident began about 3:15 a.m. Sunday at a strip club in the 6200 block of Raccoon River Drive in West Des Moines.
White, a member of the club’s security staff, “initiated the physical altercation,” according to court records.
While the victim was “being held down in a defenseless manner” by other security staff in the club’s parking lot, White allegedly “struck him in the head approximately three times with his forearm/elbow, causing the victim’s head to hit the pavement,” according to court records.
The victim “suffered head trauma, including a swollen right eye, lacerations and loss of memory of the incident,” according to court records.
The alleged assault was recorded by the club’s security cameras, according to court records.
White is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 7 in Dallas County District Court.
