An Urbandale teenager allegedly punched her mother in the head Thursday afternoon in a dispute involving car keys.
Natalie Noel Yolish, 18, of 3910 155th St., Urbandale, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault.
The incident began about 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3900 block of 155th Street in Urbandale, where officers of the Urbandale Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The victim told the officers that she “was trying to prevent her daughter from driving under the influence of percocet,” according to court records, and Yolish became “upset” because “her mother wanted her keys back to her vehicle.”
The victim told the officers that Yolish allegedly “struck the victim in the side of the head with her fist as the victim was trying to retrieve the car keys,” according to court records.
The officers observed that the victim’s “left ear was red from being hit,” according to court records.
Yolish is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 11 in Dallas County District Court.
