The Perry Police Department responded to a burglar alarm at the Casey’s General Store at 2617 Willis Ave. about 1:30 a.m. Saturday and found the glass smashed out of the front door.
The department received a report about 8 a.m. Saturday that the door of the Medicap Pharmacy at 601 First Ave. was similarly smashed.
The cases are under investigation, according to a spokesperson from the Perry Police Department. It is unknown whether the cases are related.
“Nothing” was stolen from the Casey’s, according to clerks at the Perry gas station and convenience store. A clerk at the Medicap described the incident as a “grab and go” but could not confirm whether anything was stolen from the drug store.
Neither business was ransacked, and their interiors did not appeared to have been disturbed by the gate crashers.
