Seven members of Perry’s VFW Post 2060 and American Legion Post 85 honored our local military veterans Saturday by paying a visit to the 52 veterans living in Perry’s four long-term care facilities.
VFW Post 2060 Commander Ron Leber was joined by fellow VFW members Nate Hoffman, Dana Hoffman and Zack Adams and Legionnaires Marv Eastman and Craig Van Cleave in visiting the vets in the four Perry nursing homes and presenting them with seasonal fruit baskets. Supporter Patty Van Cleave and PLH guide Sandy Grant were also on hand.
“We owe them our gratitude for serving this great nation,” Leber said. “There were great stories and great times shared with the members and veterans.”
This marks the third year the Perry VFW Post 2060 has brought the seasonal gifts to their fellow veterans.
