A vocal fan following gathered in downtown Perry this afternoon to salute the Jayette softball team as their bus left for the State Tournament in Fort Dodge. Perry (24-12) is ranked 15th in Class 4A and faces No. 6 Oskaloosa (27-7) at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
