For five days youngsters attending the Vacation Bible School hosted by First Baptist church studied “From Prison to Palace: Joseph’s Journey in Egypt.” On Friday, the students, their parents and team leaders held a celebration ceremony, which began with the youth singing songs they had learned while being reminded of what they had been taught, with an emphasis on forgiveness.
A bounce house was stationed outside the church for the kids to play in afterwards, although the dunk tank — youth leader Brandon Soll was the first victim — was also a popular attraction. An ice cream/sundae bar was also available and, unsurprisingly considering the weather, saw a steady stream of those happy to indulge.
