The halftime entertainment of Monday’s girls varsity basketball game between Perry and visiting Des Moines Hoover featured the Perry Pulse Dancers in a Santa Claus-themed routine.
The Pulse Dancers are Desiree Hartz, Brooke Garnes, Hannah Meister, Maddy Jans, Sadee Whitfield, Laura Benjamin, Skyler Cunningham, Madison Hill, Ciera Bronnenberg, Gaby Chavez, Sam Macias and Delaney Eiteman, with Herman Benitez making a guest appearance.
Tuesday afternoon, the PHS student body held a Christmas assembly. The Perry band performed a selection of Christmas music, with eight members of the Iowa State University Acapella group “Shy of a Dozen” entertained the students with several songs, which was followed by a performance of the PHS choir.
The PHS Speech Team read “Twas the Night Before Christmas” with the Pulse Dancers performing a routine as well.
Several PHS teachers brought smiles to the audience with a skit mimicking students in the classroom, with “Reindeer Games” concluding the assembly.
