If smiles and laughter are any judge, those attending the 2016 Perry Senior Prom were clearly enjoying themselves Saturday.
For many the day began with photo opportunities in their homes, the homes of their dates and, in many cases, other locales as well. Many seniors stopped by the Hotel Pattee around 2:30 p.m., with a group of juniors gathering at the Rowley Masonic home. ThePerryNews.com caught up with both groups.
The Perry Performing Arts Center served as the site for the annual walk-through and introductions of the couples, which began at 5 p.m. The formally-attired began arriving at the National Guard Armory for dinner at 6:30 p.m. with dancing beginning at 7:30 p.m. and lasting four hours.
After a brief break for a change of clothes, the After Prom was held at the Perry Senior High from midnight until 4 a.m. Games, prizes, food and fun were the bill of fare.
“Enchanted Forest” was the theme this year, with the junior class prom committee responsible for all the planning, decorations, arrangements and more.
