Virgil Eugene Shelton, 61, of Okeechobee, Florida, died May 2, 2022.
He was born Sept. 10, 1960 in Hartselle, Alabama, to Lowell Delaine Shelton and Audrey Louise (Sullivan) Shelton.
Virgil lived in Okeechobee for many years.
He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army.
Virgil enjoyed shooting, fishing, gardening, loved the outdoors, and he loved his family and friends.
He was married to Patricia Sullivon for 26 years.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell Delain Shelton and Audrey Louise Sullivan.
He is survived by his companion, Elizabeth Partridge of Okeechobee; daughter, Brandy Sue Shelton of Perry, Florida; sister, Cindy Shelton of Trinity, Alabama; lifelong friends, LeeAnita Markham of Okeechobee and Bruce and MaryAnne Swinford of Okeechobee.
