A total of 34 different swimmers were either individual or relay team winners for the Perry Summer Swim Team Tuesday, helping to send Perry to a 382-217 victory over Denison at the MCB pool.
Swimmers are allowed to compete in five of seven events, with quintuple wins marking a perfect meet. Reaching that standard for the PSST girls were Sophia McDevitt (9-10), Sarah Vaughn (13-14) and Haileigh Kenyon and Haley Vaughn (both 15-18) while Garrett Winey (9-10) and Drew Storey (13-14) had five wins apiece for the Perry boys.
The girls side received four wins from Addison Huntington (9-10) and Dannah Karolus (13-14), with Lilly Riley (9-10), Abby Herman and Avery Miner (both 13-14) and Stephanie Hill and Breanna Penenger (both 15-18) all winning twice while Emily Dowd (9-10), Jaylene Karolus (11-12) and Anna Ridnour (13-14) also had victories.
Four boys team members: Cristopher Gonzalez and Marcus Nelsen (both 11-12), Chase Archer (13-14) and Devon Archer (15-18) had four wins, with Kane Mahler-Moreno (8U) and Connor Nielsen (15-18) both tallying three victories.
Winning twice were Boomer Deardorff, Owne Royer, Andy Schuttler and Townes Wilson (all 8U), Brady Herman and Ian Thompson (both 11-12), Riese Archer and Andrew Dowd (both 13-14) and Alex Thompson and Ethan Winey (both 15-18) while Logan Castillo (11-12) also had a win.
Perry visits Manning tonight before hosting Glidden Tuesday. The IWSC meet will be held July 9 in Guthrie Center and will begin at 11 a.m.
