W-G boys place four on All-WCAC list

WOODWARD — A senior and three juniors from Woodward-Granger have earned All-WCAC boys basketball honors.

W-G finished their season with a 16-5 overall record. The Hawks were 13-3 in conference play, and all-conference recognition is based on statistics from WCAC games only.

Junior Bryce Achenbach was selected for the First Team. The point guard scored 230 points, an average of 14.4 per contest. Achenbach sank 16-of-52 3-point attempts, an accuracy of 31 percent. He had 87 rebounds, 87 assists and 38 steals.

Senior Noah Hoyt was chosen for the Second Team. He nearly mirrored Achenbach in points by scoring 228 points (14.3) while grabbing 69 rebounds. Hoyt had 46 assists, made 27 steals and sank 9-of-18 3-pointers.

Honorable Mention placements went to juniors Keith Braunschweig and Kaya Bowlsby. The former scored 205 points (12.8 ppg) while pulling down 77 rebounds, sinking 12-of-21 3-pointers (57 percent) and connecting on 65-of-79 free throws (82 percent) while the latter had 112 points (7 ppg), 51 boards and 31 assists.
