W-G Elementary kids win Legion Auxiliary poster contest

The Woodward American Legion Auxiliary Unit 211 sponsored the annual poppy poster contest for students in grades 2-5 at the Woodward-Granger Elementary School. Posters were created using the poppy theme to honor U.S. military personnel and veterans for Memorial Day. Winners of the Woodward American Legion Auxiliary poppy poster contest include second graders Eva Neshner, Lilly Lovell, Genevieve Davidson and Abigail VanGundy, third graders Hannah Parkinson, Lauren Rodgers and Keilayla Gregory, fourth grader Georgia Simmon and fifth graders Tommy Teague, Ryan Fitch and Collin Nardini.

The Woodward American Legion Auxiliary Unit 211 has announced the winners of its annual poppy poster contest for students in second through fifth grades at the Woodward-Granger Elementary School.

The posters were created using the poppy theme in order to honor U.S. military personnel and veterans for Memorial Day.

Poppy poster winners for 2016:

  • Second Grade:  Eva Neshner, Lilly Lovell, Genevieve Davidson and Abigail VanGundy
  • Third Grade- Hannah Parkinson, Lauren Rodgers and Keilayla Gregory
  • Fourth Grade- Georgia Simmon
  • Fifth Grade- Tommy Teague, Ryan Fitch and Collin Nardini

Winning posters are on display at the Woodward Public Library.
