MAXWELL, Iowa — Woodward-Granger fell behind early and could never make up the gap in dropping their season opener to Collins-Maxwell, 57-32, Friday.
The Spartans scored 15 points in each of the first two quarter and the Hawks nine in each as the hosts opened a 30-18 lead at the break, with a 12-4 surge in the third period creating a 42-22 bulge.
