WOODWARD, Iowa — Woodward-Granger senior Darby Nixon recently declared her collegiate intentions by signing on with the volleyball team at Grand View University.
A multi-sport athlete for W-G, Nixon was a three-year starter for the Hawk volleyballers and finished as a libero player, making 1,017 digs in her prep career. She had 165 assists and 24 kills and served 542-of-635 (85.3 percent) with 80 total aces.
The Vikings are coached by Tina Carter and have one of the stronger programs in NAIA.
Nixon is the daughter of Joe and Kathy Nixon.
