W-G’s Anderson, Dresback named to All-WCAC teams

WOODWARD — Freshman Emma Anderson and senior Kayley Dresback of Woodward-Granger have been chosen as All-Conference players. Anderson was named to the All-WCAC Second Team, with Dresback an Honorable Mention selection.

Statistics used for All-WCAC spots are from conference games only.

Anderson burst onto the scene with the fifth-best total points and fifth-best points per game average at 197 and 13.1 ppg. She hit 50-of-75 free throw (67 percent), with her 50 made foul shots second-most in the league. Anderson had 53 rebounds, 21 assists and 44 steals, the fourth-most thefts in the WCAC.

Dresback averaged eight points per outing by scoring 120 points in league action. Her 46 converted free throws was the third-most in the conference. She finished with 42 rebounds, 31 steals and 17 assists.

The Hawks showed great improvement this season. After a 4-19 overall mark and 1-15 effort in the WCAC in 2017-18, W-G climbed to 11-12 and 6-9 this year.
