Washington Township School breakfast to feature book signing

Joy Neal Kidney, author of the recently published “Leora’s Letters: The Story of Love and Loss for an Iowa Family in World War II,” is the eldest granddaughter of the book’s heroine and keeper of family stories, letters, photos, combat records, casualty reports and telegrams.

The Saturday, Feb. 22 breakfast at the Washington Township School will feature a book signing by Joy Neal Kidney, author of the recently published “Leora’s Letters: The Story of Love and Loss for an Iowa Family in World War II.”

Breakfast will be served from 7-10 a.m. and feature pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and a choice of drinks.

“Leora’s Letters” is the story of love and loss in a Dallas County family during World War II among the Wilson Brothers as featured on the Dallas County Freedom Rock.
