A Waukee man was arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting a Waukee woman in the home.
Christopher Jason Alves, 44, of 1130 S.E. Olson Dr., Waukee, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 8 p.m. Sunday at a residence in the 1100 block of S.E. Olson Drive, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victim, whose “hand was struck,” according to court records.
The officers observed on the victim “a bruise on her hand,” according to court records.
Alves is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 23 in Dallas County District Court.
Alves was convicted of assault in 2024 in Dallas County District Court.
