A Waukee man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Monday in connection with an August 2020 incident in which he allegedly broke a Waukee woman’s finger in the course of a domestic assault.
Stevan Blaine Robinson Jr., 52, of Waukee was charged with willful injury causing serious injury, domestic abuse assault-impeding air/blood flow first-degree harassment and false imprisonment.
The victim told officers of the Waukee Police Department that on Aug. 19, 2020, Robinson allegedly “snatched” a cell phone “out of her hand,” which “broke her finger and that it needed surgery to be repaired,” according to court records.
The victim told the officers “that over the past several weeks she has grown more concerned for her safety,” and she was afraid that Robinson “was going to harm her,” according to court records.
A warrant for Robinson’s arrest was ordered April 14 in Dallas County District Court and served May 22. Robinson is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $7,500 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 1 in Dallas County District Court.
