Enrique Perez, 41, of Waukee was arrested Thursday on a warrant for first-offense domestic abuse assault.

A Waukee man was arrested Thursday on a Dallas County warrant in connection with an alleged assault in March.

Enrique Perez, 41, of 702 Collins Dr., Waukee, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault.

The incident occurred March 18 about 5 p.m., when officers of the Wakee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Collins Drive in Waukee.

Perez left the residence prior to the officers’ arrival.

According to court records, the female victim told officers that she and Perez “had been arguing about a cell phone that she had purchased,” when he allegedly “threw a bottle of water at her and then was standing over her, hitting her in the arms and back.”

The officers did not observe any visible injuries on the body of the victim.

A witness corroborated the victim’s account of the incident, according to court records.

A warrant for Perez’s arrest was ordered March 19 in Dallas County District Court and served Sept. 17.

Perez was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a hearing Oct. 27 in Dallas County District Court.
